Also on a fun note, this past August, not only was I hard at work recording the album, but I also got a great opportunity to snag a role in the movie Bringing Up Bobby being shot in Oklahoma! I got to work with Famke Janssen (writer/director), Milla Jovovich, and Rory Cochrane! You can learn all about the film on imdb here. I'll also let ya know about the release date as soon as I hear something!

Recording and Sept. Shows

So I hope you guys enjoyed the live video feed I had going during the recording of my first solo cd! I have finished recording everything and will be working with Eric Delegard at Reeltime Audio in Denton on mixing what we have worked so hard recording. The studio is a blast, but a lot of hard work. I did have fun working and seeing the songs transform into something more than I had even imagined they could be. My good friend Sam Caire came in and laid down some lead work on the album while I also had Nick Diomedes play drums on the album. I am excited to get the cd out because the songs all sound sooo good! I know you guys will enjoy it.
On another note, Chad Sullins and myself will be doing an acoustic tour the first week in October so stay tuned for the venue details!

I can't believe how fast the summer has been going. Here it is August already! Well I have been hard at work gearing up for my time in the studio. I have just a few more things to do and before I know it, I will be in the studio putting together my first CD! I will keep everyone up to date with constant blogging and video updates, so that should be fun. March Shows & UStream

Hey again!
I have been working really hard in the last few weeks booking shows, fund raising for my cd, and trying to come up with some cool promotional things to do. Here's one of the things I've decided to do. I have a U Stream account and I am gonna try to do a 30 min. live show once a month or once every 6 weeks. I'm still working out the details, but I think it would be cool to have the fans input on the set list for each show, and then maybe have a 10-15 min chat/Q&A time after the show. Please spread the word and keep your eyes open for more details as I get this going! Should be fun!

Also, with 2 weeks left in March (time is flying!), I wanted to give you a heads up on my shows the rest of March and beginning of April. Next week, I have hooked up with Stephen Pointer to play some acoustic shows on Tues. the 30th at The Office Lounge in Weatherford, wed. the 31st at Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater and then I'll be opening up for The Stephen Pointer Band on Sat. I'm enjoying a slow week this week. It works because I have a lot of "desk" work to do, plus the weather sucks. Working on booking March and April as well as finishing up my fund-raising proposal so I can get into the studio. I'm pretty well ready with all the songs I wanna record, and my producer says he's very excited about what I've presented song-wise. I still have a few songs to finish that I would like to make it on the album. We'll see.

Happy New Year Brandon Jackson fans!

2010 proves to be an exciting time for Brandon and his music. Many things are planned and we hope that you can be a part of it! A new album, website, and a tour schedule full of shows are all currently being worked out and will be reality very soon.

In the next few months Brandon will go into the studio to record his first solo album. With several new songs, Brandon is more than ready to get his music into your hands.
