Hey Fans!

I have been soooo busy, I have neglected to post a blog. Man! Ok, so a lot has been going on......I just started watching Dexter on Netflix and I'm hooked! What a great show! Also, I've been working really hard to get my first solo CD out!! It sounds really good and we are currently trying to nail down a release date, but no worries, you won't have to wait too much longer to get your hands on the CD! I promise!

The Brandon Jackson Music team has welcomed new members to the staff! Some of you already know our Publicist/Director of Social Media, Abby Gibson, she has been donating her time helping me out with getting the word of Brandon Jackson Music to the masses for over a year now. She is a true fan and I'm happy to officially announce she is now on staff with us! We would also like to welcome Shelley Burt on board as my new Booking Agent. Shelley has been a long time friend and we are extremely excited that she has chosen to use her amazing booking skills (she also has bow hunting, nun-chuck, and poker skills) to get us out there in front of all you fans! Watch the calendar and we can't wait to see you out at a show soon!

You may have also seen the new Brandon Jackson merchandise either online or at a show! That's right, we finally have t-shirts, and I wanna thank our Director of Sales & Merchandising, Beki Jackson, for her work and design of the new shirts. You can pick up one either at a show or email your order to brandonjacksonmerch@gmail.com and we will ship one out to you no matter where you live! Check them out at www.facebook.com/brandonjacksonmusic. Also a big thank you to Jeremy Borum at 17B in Stillwater for helping with the design and printing of the shirts. You need to check out his Pure Garage line, great stuff!

The Brandon Jackson Music Team just keeps getting bigger! You may be asking yourself, "I wanna be a part of the team, how can I help?" Well I have the answer! Join our Street Team! It's easy, just email your contact info (name, email, city you live in, phone #) to bjacksonstreetteam@gmail.com and we will get you involved! We would love to have you on board!

If you have been listening to the radio lately in Ft. Worth or Stillwater, you may have noticed a new song in the mix! That's right, we released the new single, "Just a Good Friend" to radio March 22nd! Stations around Oklahoma & Texas are adding the song to their rotation as we speak, so feel free to call your local station and request the song! We debuted the song on TMI with Charla Corn on 95.9 the Ranch and have received a great response! We then debuted it locally on 105.5 Cowboy Country with Jae Mcrae the next morning, and then chatted it up with Will & Barry (The Morning Circus) at K95.5 in Hugo, OK last Friday. Also, THIS friday @ 3:30pm, I will join Amber Taylor on 100.1 KYKC in Ada, OK to talk about the new album and play the single! So keep listening and requesting the song!

On another fun note, Wade Bowen's Bowen Classic is coming this May 15 & 16 to Waco,TX, and you can have a say in who you want to play an acoustic set! They are asking fans to give a list of 3 artists (that are not already listed as playing) that they want to see acoustic at the Bowen Classic, and there's 3 ways to vote. You can tweet your vote to @galleywinter, go to the event page on facebook, or go to the Galleywinter page and leave your votes in the comments. Voting ends Friday at 5pm, so i would really appreciate it if you'd go vote for me and have all your friends do the same! If I'm chosen in the top 3 I will play on Sunday May 15! Let's do this!

So much happening! It's great!

On Sunday, April 17, I will be playing on the Texas Red Dirt Roads show with Justin Frazell! It's a live broadcast on location at Railhead BBQ in Willow Park just outside Ft. Worth on 95.9 The Ranch from 4-7. I'll be playing acoustic with a couple other artists to be named soon, so I hope you can tune in. You can listen online @ www.959theranch.com too!

We are providing another way to keep up with all the things going on here at Brandon Jackson Music. Log on to www.broadtexter.com/brandonjacksonmusic and sign up to receive personal texts, and updates from me right on your phone! It's easy and I think you will really enjoy it! (Regular texting rates apply).

One more thing, my dog, JoJo, had to have minor surgery on her ear this last week and has had to wear this very awkward cone on her head! Very funny and sad at the same time, but the good news is she will get to take it off in just a couple days. Thought I would share that with ya! Feel free to laugh or feel sorry for her. We've done both.

Ok, gotta run! See ya soon! And as always, spread the word!

What a week!

So Beki and I are sitting at Deaconess as our friends Andy and Laura Bush are expecting their new baby boy any minute! Very cool. Won't be long now.

Well, in the world of Brandon Jackson music, last week I got to do an interview at Stilly Studio at Stillwater News Press. It was a great time, and you can check out the interview and two songs from the album I played acoustic online at the Stillwater News Press website! Thanks Chase! Tomorrow morning at 9am, I will be doing an interview at KEYB radio in Altus to promote the show at Woody's! You can listen online if you don't live in or around Altus. You can find all the links at www.facebook.com/brandonjacksonmusic. I hope you can listen in! The show at Woody's in Altus is this Saturday. Taylor Atkinson will be opening up acoustic starting around 9 or 9:30 and we'll hit the stage around 10:30 or 11! Cover is $5 and doors are at 8pm. Come on out and bring your friends!
And finally, I will be premiering my first single on March 21, on 95.9 The Ranch! Listen in to TMI at 7:30 and get the first listen to the album! You can listen online at www.959theranch.com! I'm super excited!

Great weekend/week coming up!

Today I'm heading down to Ft. Worth, TX to play a couple acoustic song swaps with Bobby Duncan! We'll be at Woody's in Ft. Worth tonight and then at The Mule Barn in Justin, TX tomorrow night. All you fans in the area, I hope to see ya out at one or both of these shows! Also at 7:15 tonight, I'll be on 95.9 The Ranch with Mike Gibson. We'll talk about the shows and all about the new CD and everything I'm doing. I invited Bobby to join me, so it should be a real fun time! If you don't live in Ft. Worth, listen online at, www.959theranch.com. Also, this Sunday my interview at KYKC 100.1 in Ada, OK will be replayed during their Red Dirt show from 8-10. Those of you in that area, be sure to tune in! Sorry, but they don't stream online so the rest of you won't be able to pick it up.

Things are really heating up. I have been sooo busy these last couple of weeks getting everything together with the full band! Rehearsals have been going great and we will be hitting the stage for the first time a week from tonight at The Squander Bar in Tecumseh, OK. You guys keep checking out the facebook page for the free ticket give-a-ways too! While you're at it, share the page with your friends!
The CD is getting closer to being finished! Finishing up the design and artwork and will have it mastered in no time. I know you guys are more than anticipating this release, and so am I! I can't wait for it to be out there! It won't be long now.

I also just got word that I will be listed in the new artist section of the Texas Red Dirt Roads website! The official launch is March 1st, but you will see a few profiles start popping up before then. I'm really honored to be a part of this. Justin Frazell and all the guys at Texas Red Dirt Roads are true music fans and do an amazing job of putting a spotlight on this scene. They love it, and want everyone else to love it too! Thanks guys!

This last Saturday, Beki and I got a chance to head out to Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa and catch Eli Young Band's sold out show. Great show and their new stuff really sounds good. We ended up hanging out and catching up with those guys until about 2 that morning. It was really good. It had been way too long since we all got to hang out. We had a great time. Thanks Mike, Chief, Kacey, and everyone for the hospitality.

Ok, gotta run! I'll see you guys tonight in Ft. Worth!

Farewell Dirty's

This past Saturday, Beki and I went out to Dirty's in Stillwater to celebrate their last night. It was fun but sad too. A lot a great memories at that place, not only just hanging out, but shows as well. Steve and I spent a few years playing Monday nights there, and I also played one of the first shows at Dirty's in August of 2004 with Stoney and Bleu. Mike Eli from Eli Young Band and I also played several acoustic shows together at Dirty's over the years. It was always a great time! So now, after 7 and half years of playing Monday night acoustic shows starting at The Wormy Dog in Stillwater, to Roosters, and finally at Dirty's, it will be a bit strange to not have a Monday night show anymore. I think I'll enjoy the break, concentrate on the full band stuff coming up, and start cutting down on the acoustic shows once the CD is released.
Saturday night was fun, and it was good to see people and past Dirty's employees I hadn't seen in a while. Dirty's went out right with a full house of friends and strong drinks! I'm sad to see it end.

What a week. Wow.

I'm writing this blog while I watch Oklahoma State basketball against Colorado. Gotta have a better game than they did against A& M on Wednesday! That one hurt.

Anyway, last Saturday I got a chance to play at a new club in Tecumseh called The Squander Bar, formerly JT's Cowtown. Bryon White and the Damn Quails opened up and really sounded great. Bryon had some heavy hitters sitting in with him too. John Fullbright was playing bass and Alan Orebaugh from Mama Sweet was sitting in on guitar. It was a lot of fun catching up with those guys and meeting Bryon and the rest of the band. I have another show there on Feb. 25. It will be the first full band show, so I hope to see a lot of you out there!! The only negative about the show is that someone decided to steal the tag off of my van! Not really sure why they would do this! Well, all I can say to that person is, I hope you enjoy it. If you get caught with it though, you won't be happy because I did let the police know about it.

That wasn't the only negative thing that happened this week, but sometimes you have those moments that challenge you and really let you appreciate those good times. I really don't let those things get to me at all. I know who I am and what I can do and I'm extremely excited about what is to come. I'm putting my band together and look forward to getting in front of fans full band! Not to mention the fact that I'm getting closer to having the CD done and out to the public! Busy times here at Brandon Jackson Music!

For you fans in Texas, I will be playing two acoustic song swap shows next month with my good friend Bobby Duncan at Woody's in Ft. Worth and The Mule Barn in Justin, TX. Checkout the calendar, spread the word, and get your butt to the show! You will not want to miss it! Another fun development for Texas fans, I'm working with my buddy Brison Bursey on a few acoustic song swaps with him as well. I'll keep you updated on when those get finalized. Also, a big congrats to Brison as he just recently got engaged! I'm very happy for him and his new fiance, Shannon.

Thanks again for all the support and don't forget to call 95.9 The Ranch in Ft. Worth and 105.5 Cowboy Country in Stillwater and request the acoustic version of "Now that I Found You"! I keep getting congratulatory messages from fans who have heard the song on the radio, and I wanna say a big thank you for that!

Until next time!
B

p.s. I watched Randy Rogers and the guys on The Tonight show last night. Couldn't be more excited for them as they have made multiple appearances on the late night shows. I love that not only great musicians, but great people continue to have success and realize their dreams.

Happy 2011!!!

Hey guys,
I hope everyone had a Happy Holidays! I had a great Christmas and New Year with my family and just enjoyed my time off. No it's time to get back to work!
I'm excited about this new year and everything that is to come. I am finishing up the mix of the CD this week, and am on track to have it out by March! No date is set as of yet, but I will announce it very soon! I have also had the opportunity to do a lot of interviews about my upcoming release and you can find those in the Nashville Music Guide (as well as my mug on the cover), and the Unrated Music article. You can pick up the January issue of The Nashville Music guide at Hastings in Stillwater for free, or at any of my shows! Pick one up! Also a big thanks to 95.9 The Ranch in Ft. Worth, TX and 105.5 Cowboy Country in Stillwater, OK for playing an acoustic version of "Now That I Found You". Please give them a ring and request the song!
One of my New Year's resolutions is to stay in touch with my fans through this blog on a regular basis, so please keep coming back and I will keep you all updated! Thanks, and here's to a HUGE 2011!!
